How TypeFury measures typing performance and maintains helpful content
← Back to TypeFuryTypeFury publishes practical typing guidance for students, writers, developers, office workers, educators, and anyone who wants to type with more speed and confidence. Our goal is to make each guide useful on its own, not just to describe the typing test.
Articles are written and edited in-house for typetest.app. We focus on clear explanations, realistic practice advice, accessibility, keyboard ergonomics, and transparent descriptions of how the typing tool works.
Typing speed tests are only useful when the calculation is easy to understand. TypeFury reports results using standard typing-test conventions so that your score is comparable with other WPM tools.
One typing-test “word” is treated as five typed characters, including spaces. A 250-character result in one minute equals approximately 50 WPM.
Accuracy is based on how many typed characters match the target text. Mistakes are highlighted during the test so you can see whether speed, missed letters, punctuation, or rhythm caused the issue.
Progress stats are stored locally in your browser. TypeFury does not require an account, and your personal practice history is not uploaded to our server.
Some keyboard or accessory pages may mention products, layouts, or keyboard types. Recommendations are written to help readers understand tradeoffs such as switch feel, noise, layout, portability, and comfort. If we use affiliate links in the future, we will label them clearly and update this policy.
TypeFury does not sell rankings, paid reviews, or guaranteed placements. Product discussion is informational and should be compared with current specifications, prices, and return policies before purchase.
